Manure certainly isn't the most attractive aspect of horses, or life, but if we fuss and cuss it, we surely will step back and fall in it. So grab a shovel and deal with it! We can choose to turn life's fertilizer into something beneficial to ourselves and our world by taking thoughtful action.

JOURNEY HOME'S PRINCIPLES OF HORSEMANSHIP
1) AWARENESS- Awareness of relationship between horses, between humans and horses, body language, safety procedures and self awareness.
2) HONESTY- With your horse, yourself and others.
3) RESPONSIBILITY- We are accountable for every choice we make.
4) GRATITUDE- We never walk away from a horse without thanking him for time spent or lessons learned.
5) CAN & WILL ATTITUDE- A motto we adopted from the Army's 1st Cavalry Division. It serves us well as we say, "I can!" and "I will go forward with all my might and positive attitude!"
6) RESPECT - Honor self, others, animals and be good stewards of the environment.
7) BLESS THE HORSE MANURE- Turn unpleasantness into opportunity for growth.
